Don Lax is a professional violinist living on Maui, Hawai`i. An international background and 39 years of experience give his music a flair and fluidity that grace any event.
Don pla ys nightly with gifted guitarists Vance Koenig and Bo Shores at Ferraro's Restaurant at The Four Seasons, Wailea, and is available for recording, weddings, and private functions.

He began playing violin at age five, while living in Karachi, Pakistan. His Rumanian father gave him his first lessons, until the family moved to Bombay, India, where a classically trained teacher was found. Continuing his studies, Lax attended music conservatories in Paris and Rome, culminating in 1975, when he decided to explore music beyond the classical realm.
Throughout Europe and Greece, he played in many settings—solo, and with various groups—performing every kind of music—from classical and gypsy to jazz, rock and popular folk melodies. Lax has also composed many original tunes, blending his Rumanian heritage, world influences and classical background.
He has played violin for over two thousand weddings during the past 15 years. His romantic style, classical, training and modern sensibilities make him the perfect choice for any style of wedding, from classic church wedding to barefoot on the beach.
